Manager, Operational Technology

The role is responsible for managing and maintaining automation systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and alignment with organizational objectives. It involves preparing and reviewing maintenance budgets, analysing production processes to develop automation solutions, and leading test automation initiatives. The position also oversees planning, organizing, and supervising automation activities, while providing support to project teams and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Responsibilities:

System Reliability and Availability

  •           Ensure the reliability and availability of critical operational systems to minimize downtime and maintain continuous operations.
  •           Implement strategies to enhance system resilience and mitigate the impact of potential failures.

Risk Management

  • Identify and assess risks associated with operational technology, including cybersecurity threats, equipment failures, and other operational challenges.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation plans to safeguard critical assets and ensure operational continuity.

Cybersecurity

  • Implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect Operational Technology (OT) systems from unauthorized access, data breaches, and other cyber threats.
  • Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies to proactively address emerging risks.

Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Carlsberg Operating Manual, industry regulations and standards governing operational technology systems.
  • Stay updated on changes in regulations and implement necessary measures to meet compliance requirements.

Technology Integration

  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies that can enhance operational efficiency, automation, and overall performance.
  • Develop a roadmap for technology upgrades and improvements to keep the OT infrastructure current and aligned with business goals.

Cost Management

  • Optimize operational costs by identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and resource optimization within the OT environment.
  • Balance the need for technology upgrades with cost considerations to maximize the return on investment.

Collaboration with IT

  • Foster collaboration between OT and IT teams to ensure alignment of technology strategies and seamless integration between operational and information technology.
  • Develop and implement joint cybersecurity strategies to address the convergence of IT and OT security concerns.

Incident Response and Recovery

  • Develop and implement incident response plans to address potential disruptions or security incidents promptly.
  • Establish recovery strategies to minimize the impact of incidents and facilitate a swift return to normal operations.

Performance Monitoring and Optimization

  • Implement monitoring tools and performance metrics to assess the health and efficiency of operational technology systems.
  • Continuously optimize processes and systems to enhance overall performance and meet operational objectives.

Strategic Planning

  • Develop long-term strategic plans for the OT infrastructure, aligning technology initiatives with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Provide leadership in shaping the future direction of operational technology within the organization.

Requirements:

  •          With Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechatronic or related Engineering.
  •           At least 5 years relevant working experience in manufacturing industry.
  •           Knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMI (Human-Machine Interface) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system is mandatory.
  •       Knowledge in Siemens, B&R, B&W is an added advantage.
  •       Good PC skills and good knowledge of Ms Office.
  •       Good understanding in Automation communication protocols.
  •       Knowledge in OT (Operational Technology) cyber security.
  •       Knowledge of SAP Maintenance Module is an added advantage.
  •       Knowledge in network setup is an advantage.
  •       Good Automation/Electrical skills.
  •       Strong logical analysis.
  •       Team player and strong sense of team cooperation.
  •       With sense of responsibility.
  •       Ability to work independently.
  •       Good communication and organizational/planning skills.
  •       Positive attitude.
