Executive, HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment)

Responsible for supporting Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) programs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and ISO standards, conducting inspections and investigations, and promoting a safe workplace culture across the Supply Chain.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with HSSE team on the measures to be taken in the interests of the safety and health of the persons employed in the place of work.
  • Conduct inspections at the place of work to determine whether any machinery, plant, equipment, substance, appliances or process or any description of manual labour used in the place of work, is of such nature liable to cause bodily injury to any person working in the place of work.
  • Involve in investigation of any accident, near-miss accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning or occupational disease which has happened in the place of work.
  • Be part of the safety and health committee meetings and programs.
  • Assist safety and health committee in any inspection of the place of work for the purposes of checking the effectiveness and efficacy of any measures taken in compliance with the Act or any regulations made under the Act
  • Assist in collection, analysis and maintain statistics on any accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning and occupational disease which have occurred at the place of work.
  • Assists to issues work permits, safety induction and basic health/safety communications.
  • Assist HSSE team to compile all relevant regulation reporting and submission of accidents report, statistics and etc.
  • Attend to any accident, injury, incident & etc which relate to health & safety in the plant
  • Compile the near misses weekly and prepare report to update the status of progress
  • Draft procedure/Work Instruction/SOP etc relate to health & safety management system.
  • Maintain all Health Safety & Environment (HSE) manual as required by the ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 system
  • Maintain and update legal register to meet country regulations.
  • Involve in the department Health and Safety Committee.
  • Be a trained First Aider and maintaining, inspection and advising all department on their first aides facilities in the plant including updating name of First aider list.
  • Ensure all HSE policies, manuals, documents are updated in all relevant departments 
  • Enforce HSSE rules at site to employees, contractors and visitor.
  • Ensure the daily HSSE details are update for communication purpose. 

Requirements:

  • Certificate/Diploma/Degree or professional certificate in any field, preferably Health and Safety
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge in safety would be added advantage.
  • 1-2 years relevant working experience preferred.
  • Knowledge ISO 14001 & ISO45001 would be added advantages.
  • Good effective communication skills.
  • Creative thinker and good team player. 
  • Work independently and display initiative in coordinating and completing activities.
