Welcoming Lunar New Year with a GREAT big bang at the CNY Appreciation Dinner

Carlsberg Malaysia hosted a trade and media appreciation dinner in conjunction with the Lunar New Year on 20 February at Hilton Kuala Lumpur. The extravagant feast was made successful with the attendance of approximately 500 key customers, trade partners, guests and media members.

The dinner was doubled as a platform to share the company’s accomplishments throughout 2012 by its various brand portfolios. The Company presented its impressive array of brands, starting with the chirpy Somersby Apple Cider, followed by Carlsberg in football, Kronenbourg 1664 in Fashion and last but not least Asahi Super Dry in Party.

All guests were then ushered to their seats to welcome the grand entrance of Emperor Wang Sou Ren (MD Soren Ravn) clad in a bright yellow Ching dynasty emperor outfit. He was then joined by a team of drummers and later on by eight Fook Gods and a lion dance performance on stage.

The main stage showcased its 16-feet tall golden Tree of Abundance which received the Malaysia Book of Records recognition as the “Tallest Mechanical Tree of Abundance Replica”.

The evening then moved on with a performance by the talented Chelsea Ng and Lim Tiong Piow with famous CNY songs, “Gong Xi Gong Xi” and “Choi San Dou”.

MD Soren welcomed singer Chelsea Ng, violinist Dennis Lau, beatboxer Koujee and the dancers back on stage to close the evening with a bang by rendering a new Carlsberg Malaysia song penned by the talented Dennis himself.

Before the curtains closed for the CNY Appreciation Dinner, a sneak peek of “Where’s The Party? 4” was played to entice the thoughts of guests.
