Corona Extra is the largest and most successful imported international beer brand in Malaysia.

Carlsberg Malaysia signed an International Importer Agreement at the end of 2007 with Cerveceria Modelo, S.A. DE C.V. (Modelo), a Mexican corporation which gives Carlsberg Malaysia exclusive rights to import, promote and resell Corona products in Malaysia with effect from 1st January 2008. With the exclusive rights, Corona beer is projected to complement Carlsberg Malaysia's already established beer brand portfolio in Malaysia.
