Manager, Finance Transformation

Keep up the pace with evolving technologies and industry trends by aligning the finance vision with company strategy, and implementing sustainable change into the finance department, thereby transforming the business as well as ensuring that internal controls are in-tact or improved with the transformation. Drive and partner with respective business owners to improve processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness in line with business needs, conduct risk assessment and enhance internal controls. Drive awareness of internal controls and risk assessment and ensure proper documentation of SOPs and key processes.

 

Responsibilities: 

Finance Process transformation for the Group (Malaysia and Singapore)

  • Identifying improvements leading to increased accuracy and efficiency of the month-end process, annual budget, monthly forecast, quarterly estimate, and finance operational process.
  • Develop, review current and future practices on policies, procedures and process flow in line with the Internal Control guidelines and framework as well as improving efficiency/ productivity and reducing cost/ redundancy.
  • Collaborating with the wider finance team, including regional and global finance team and continuously monitoring internal processes – identifying industry trends and value creation opportunities to maximize the potential of the department and build a “finance team of the future”.
  • Drive and engage stakeholders in developing the Standard Operating Procedure/ Blueprint / documentation for retention of knowledge.
  • Automating and innovating across the finance spectrum.
  • Defining the strategy and being accountable for the implementation of the finance change and transformation strategy.
  • Working closely with the finance systems and internal control teams to ensure the design and effectiveness of systems, processes and controls provide a strong and robust environment.
  • Provide management with project status updates, feedback, and appropriate reporting on key responsibilities and objectives.

Requirements: 

  • Finance/accounting background with professional qualification
  • At least 7 years working experience (preferably with similar capacity and audit background) in area of finance & accounting, finance shared service, finance transformation, risk assessment and internal controls framework
  • Experience leading strategy, operating model definition and implementation with these areas such as financial transformation such as process automation, shared service implementation.
  • Good experience leading business model design and implementation in areas of Cost transformation projects / Operational Excellence (Opex), productivity and efficiency programs.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, team-building, and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience.
  • Ability to build consensus and foster change in ambiguous settings.
  • Requires strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in analysing reports, identifying issues and results-oriented management
  • An ability to work effectively with all levels of staff within the company and external parties
  • Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
  • Excellent interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills are required to support working in project environments that includes internal & external teams and with demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience.
